Kelowna Bachelorette Weekends
Six bedrooms, one backyard, and the Okanagan's best wineries on your doorstep.
Why Kelowna
Kelowna gives a bride-to-be and her friends a bit of everything in one trip: lakeside beaches, a lively downtown along Bernard Avenue, and dozens of wineries within a short drive. It is easy to fly into, and the summer weather is reliably hot and sunny.
The challenge is usually finding one place where the whole group can stay together. The Grand Oasis sleeps up to 10 in six separate bedrooms, so nobody is stuck on a pull-out couch and everyone shares the same backyard.

A sample weekend
Friday: arrive, claim bedrooms, and settle into the hot tub or, between May and September, the heated pool. Fire up the outdoor kitchen for dinner under the pergola.
Saturday: a chauffeured wine tour is the classic Kelowna bachelorette plan, so nobody has to drive. Quails' Gate and CedarCreek are about 15 to 20 minutes away, Mission Hill about 20, and Tantalus and Summerhill closer still. Back at the house, get ready in two separate kitchens and bathrooms, then head downtown for dinner — Bernard Avenue is about five minutes away.
Sunday: a slow brunch at home, a sauna and cold plunge to reset, and a last swim before checkout.
House rules
The Grand Oasis is in a residential neighbourhood, so it is a place for your group to celebrate together rather than an event venue. Please keep to your registered guest count, no outside guests or parties, and respect quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. Groups who want a big night out do it downtown, then come home to the hot tub.
Why this house
Getting ready is half the fun, and it is a lot easier with two full kitchens, two levels and 2.5 bathrooms instead of one hotel bathroom between ten people. The six bedrooms each have their own theme, from the spa-style Sage Retreat and Horizon Suite upstairs to the travel-themed Monaco Room and Voyager's Nook downstairs, so there are plenty of good spots for photos.
The backyard is the place for group shots: a pergola bistro table, a turf lawn with mountain views, the covered hot tub and, in summer, a lit-up 40 by 20 pool. Stock the outdoor fridge, put a playlist on and you have a private spot for the whole weekend.
Plan ahead
Book wine tours and dinner reservations early: Kelowna's winery restaurants fill weeks ahead in summer. Arrange a shuttle or taxis for nights downtown so nobody has to drive. If you are celebrating outside pool season, the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge still make the backyard the heart of the weekend.
